Students
Admissions to the undergraduate engineering programs are entirely centralized and managed through online counseling rounds organized by Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), which prioritizes candidate allocations based on their All India Rank (AIR) in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) combined with qualifying academic merit. If any institutional slots remain unfilled after the primary state allocation cycles, the college coordinates direct spot counseling rounds or institutional registration on campus, filling the remaining seats on the basis of 10+2 percentage matrices. The finality of the seat allocation remains subject to direct physical document verification and full fee deposition at the Tanakpur campus administrative block.
For undergraduate admission to the regular 4-year B.Tech programs, applicants must have passed their 10+2 (Intermediate) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects alongside one technical elective (such as Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology), securing a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to statutory reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC). For B.Tech Lateral Entry directly into the second year, candidates must hold a recognized 3-year Engineering Diploma or a B.Sc. degree with specified mathematics courses. Admissions are structured around reservation guidelines that allocate a majority of the regular seat capacity to bonafide domicile residents of Uttarakhand.
